Our story
Christianos Opals was founded in Coober Pedy, South Australia, in 1958. Since about 2009 the family has been based in Lightning Ridge, NSW. We mine all the opal we sell: black opal at Lightning Ridge, and boulder and light opal from other Australian fields. You buy direct from the people who brought the stone out of the ground.
