That is why Christianos Opals arranges private viewings in Sydney, so you can examine our stones in person before you buy. We are a third-generation family business of opal miners, founded in Coober Pedy in 1958 and now working the black opal fields of Lightning Ridge, NSW.
Sydney viewings are by appointment only. Tell us what you are looking for, whether that is a black opal for a ring, a boulder opal, a matched pair or a collector's stone, and we will bring a selection chosen for you. If you have seen a stone in our online catalogue, quote its stock number and we will make sure it is there.
A viewing is relaxed and unhurried. We will show you how body tone, brightness and pattern affect the look and value of each stone, and answer any questions about where it was mined. Every opal we sell is natural Australian opal and comes with its own certificate, so you can verify it against what we publish online.
