Our story
Christianos Opals was founded in Coober Pedy, South Australia, in 1958. Since about 2009 the family has been based in Lightning Ridge, NSW. We mine black opal at Lightning Ridge, and we also sell boulder and light opal from other Australian fields, some of it sourced from other miners we work with. Whatever you choose, you buy direct from the family that graded it, with its own certificate.
